Traces is a visual summary of work created during the MA course Graphic Design Communication at Chelsea College of Arts, London. The self-bound book contains a collection of experiments and case studies exploring a notional character of reality.
The cover and tipped-in pages use renderings of the project Bream Street. The programme consists of a generative system of tiny particles that follow invisible targets, never fully reaching them. The idea was to make something hidden perceivable by depicting its traces. The veiled objects thus become visible retrospectively through the adjacent particles they attract.
