An interactive installation traversing the implications of abstract, indefinite space upon the human entity, conceived for the Sweet Spot Festival 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia.
It was installed in the remnants of a Soviet area heating plant, a space that now hosts the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM). Participants were invited to explore a dark tunnel, populated by multiple layers of translucent screens upon which particles were projected from an unknown source. The implication of sound morphed the shapes in tone and intensity, ensconcing the audience. The intention was to establish an obscure space which questioned our preconceived notions of the manner in which we form and influence our own environments.
The installation was created in collaboration with Keili Retter. The pictures were taken by Andris Taškāns (1) and Sweet Spot Festival (2–5).
